WE HOPE YOU LIKE OUR NEW DIRECTION
The Saturn V has recently been accused of not being punk rock (which is not strange, being a Frat band) but in the spirit of the Budget Rock Weekend at Thee Parkside, the boys left their blazers and skinny ties at home.

... We had the chance to catch up with old friends and make new acquaintances. Everyone then adjourned to Handsome Dick Manitoba's nitery, where apparently one of the scheduled bands had cancelled at the last minute.
After some cajoling the ‘Saturn IV’ took to the stage for an impromptu mini-set (as no keyboard-type device was onstage, Dr Pat was forced to sit on the sidelines and drink beer! An outrage, I tell you!) Needless to say, even the Phelan-less ’Vees knocked ’em flat, then it was out into the nite for even more cocktail action. Whew!
Saturnday saw more of the same. On Sunday nite the 'Vees were the curtain pullers. Their patented Twist and Shout Revue had the desired effect on the assembled multitudes. The group would like to apologize for anyone being pelted by any small airborne objects at the beginning of their set (namely Jelly Babies). These were thrown by some of our more enthusiastic fans and were intended for Ron Silva, and not meant to strike any civilians. Sorry about the collateral damage.
Another highlight was the privilege of being able to witness the brillance of THE KAISERS. A scribe got it right when he said 'What the Saturn V are doing for frat, The Kaisers are doing for Merseybeat'. Or something like that.
I am happy to report we were able to help the Scots out of a jam (What are allies for?). It seems their luggage was lost enroute and the Barons of Beat were without vital parts of their wardrobe, that is, a size 43 pair of winkle pickers (here in the Colonies we call 'em BEATLE BOOTS). After a furious trying-on session, a footwear switch was effected which left The Exciting Ron Silva wearing a very distressed pair of engineer boots. RS commented, 'I feel like Sterling Morrison.' Ron was out of the band for the rest of the evening.
