Dr. Phelan played keyboards with South City bands, The Brentwoods and The V.I.P.s and is nearly as handsome as CVS. He has admired the Sat Vees for years and naturally he is tremendously excited about his future. To show his dedication to the band, he repainted his Farfisa organ the same shade of red as Orbit's jacket and shaved off his long beard.
A native Californian, Dr Phelan had left the Bay Area for a few years to pursue a degree at UCLA and because "San Francisco wasn't big enough for two handsome organ players."
It wasn't until he graduated from UCLA that Dr. Pat realized his true calling-following in the footsteps of Jan Berry and practicing medicine. He is currently enrolled as a medical student at UCSF and a member of the medical fraternity, Phi Delta Chi.
Dr. Pat has little free time between the demanding schedules of classes, rehearsals, and gigs. "I'm so busy, sometimes I don't know whether I'm supposed to be operating on an organ or playing it."
He can play, he can twist, and he's gonna sing, when Orbit gets through with him. And he drinks beer.
