The Saturn V has a pedigree that's longer than a foot long hotdog.
Johnny Head Johnny Bartlett played wild guitar in the #1 proponents of the West Coast Go Sound, The Phantom Surfers. This go-getter is second-in-command of the 'Vees and is the only person authorized to cut off Orbit's beers! Among his many enterprises, he is the CEO and President of Hillsdale Records, bringing The Culture of Tone TM to today's young people.
David E. head David E. Troutt plays bass. He is a native Californian. Johnny discovered him playing in a tar paper shack in the tiny town of Tustin. Dave was planning to start his own twist and stomp band called The Dave Troutt Five but fearing repercussions from Tottenham, decided instead to join the Saturn V.
Ron head Ron Silva was in the Crawdaddys. Ron and played with Tom Ward in the Nashville Ramblers and the Ron Silva & the Monarchs - fine bands doing 6Ts Beat and R'n'B songs. They also were the Fake West Coast Lyres, and have the singular fame of being the only lineup of the Lyres to be fired all at once!
Dr. Pat head Dr. Pat Phelan MD played keyboards in The Brentwoods. He is currently enrolled as a medical student at UCSF. He put a fresh coat of red paint on his Farfisa when he joined up with the 'Vees. To cope with the rigors of Medical School and Orbit, Dr. Pat always has a pot of fresh coffee on the burner.
Orbit head Orbit comes to the group from those surf and stomp garage gods, Orbit & the Purple Knifs. He takes a step back in time; from the '66 Paul Revere & the Raiders sound of the Knifs to the '62 Kingsmen sound of the Saturn V.
